Background Information
The Ambassadors Charity Trust (ACT) was born out of the burning desire to bridge the wealth-poverty gap in our society and to bring hope to the world. In 2011 the founder Mr. Blessings Chiwosi felt compelled to pursue a mission that would act as a platform between the well to do and the underprivileged of the society. He heard a very silent voice deep down his heart, telling him that he has been called and sent to lead a group of people that are to be the representatives of Jesus ... Christ, that they were to perform the Gospel through charity works and developmental initiatives as told in Matthew 25: 31-40. Being convinced that this was the will of God and a great purpose upon His people, Mr. Chiwosi called the initiative as the Ambassadors of God – believing that God had revealed His plan of raising an army of dedicated servants who would proceed the practical works that the Lord Jesus had begun 2000 plus years ago. The Ambassadors of God was established in 2011 but due to resources constraints, started its operations later in 2016 - initially by Chancellor College students who conducted a number of charity work outreaches in Zomba district. Later when Chiwosi had completed his studies at Chancellor College and went back to Lilongwe (the Capital city of Malawi) he proceeded with its activities and even had it duly registered with the government of Malawi on 5 December 2018 as a local Non-Governmental Organization under the trustees’ incorporation Act with a certificate number TR/INC7047. Chiwosi continued to share and spread its spirit through every possible means such that it has ever since gained members from the Southern, central and northern regions of Malawi. To avoid the religious stigmatization during its operations, the Ambassadors of God was rebranded into the Ambassadors Charity Trust in 2021 upon the board of trustees’ general consensus at its general meeting Read more
